RaunIO is a local member association of insin\u00f6\u00f6riliitto ILRY, meaning that when you join the Engineers&#8217; Union, you automatically become a member of your local association, Rauman Insin\u00f6\u00f6riopiskelijat RaunIO ry. In addition to the excellent benefits offered by the Engineers&#8217; Union, you&#8217;ll also receive local perks such as discounted ticket prices for events organized by RaunIO, as well as discounts on various RaunIO products, including student overalls. Student membership in the Engineers&#8217; Union costs \u20ac30 as a one-time fee for the entire duration of your studies. Rauman Insin\u00f6\u00f6riopiskleijat RaunIO ry organizes a statutory autumn meeting for its members every year, during which the board for the following year is elected. A board position at RaunIO always lasts for one calendar year, and any interested RaunIO student member is welcome to apply. Before the autumn meeting, we aim to organize an information session where we explain board activities in more detail.<\/p>\n<p>If this sparked your interest and you&#8217;d like to learn more, feel free to contact us through the channels listed under the &#8221;<strong>Contact Us<\/strong>&#8221; tab, or stop by our office to discuss it in person.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Contact Person Activities<\/h3>\n<p>As a contact person for Rauman Insin\u00f6\u00f6riopiskelijat RaunIO ry, you act as a link between the board members and the general student membership. You relay information, news, and opinions in both directions and actively promote engineering student life in Rauma at a grassroots level. Serving as a contact person also provides an excellent foundation for future board involvement. Even if you are not a board member, any selected member of Rauman Insin\u00f6\u00f6riopiskelijat RaunIO ry can serve as a contact person. If you are interested in this role, you can send us a message through the channels found under the &#8221;Contact Us&#8221; tab, or come by our office.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Guidelines for Contact person activities<\/h3>\n<p>1 \u00a7 Contact person may be appointed from among the members of Rauman Insin\u00f6\u00f6riopiskelijat RaunIO ry by decision of the RaunIO ry board.<\/p>\n<p>2 \u00a7 Applications to become a contact person are accepted year-round. At the end of each calendar year, those wishing to continue as contact persons are reviewed together with the newly elected board.<\/p>\n<p>3 \u00a7 Contact persons may attend board meetings when invited by the board. At board meetings, contact persons do not have the right to make proposals or vote, and they may be asked to leave the meeting if necessary.<\/p>\n<p>4 \u00a7 Contact persons do not bear formal responsibility for the association&#8217;s operations; therefore, contact persons are not authorized to participate in the association&#8217;s financial transactions. Contact persons are not entitled to office keys or RaunIO ry access credentials. Contact persons are not permitted to be in the office alone.<\/p>\n<p>5 \u00a7 The activities of contact persons must not be contrary to the interests of Rauman Insin\u00f6\u00f6riopiskelijat RaunIO ry or its members.<\/p>\n<p>6 \u00a7 Contact persons must not, through their actions, damage the reputation or property of Rauman Insin\u00f6\u00f6riopiskelijat RaunIO ry.<\/p>\n<p>7 \u00a7 Every contact person must comply with the association\u2019s rules and the decisions of its governing bodies.<\/p>\n<p>8 \u00a7 Rauman Insin\u00f6\u00f6riopiskelijat RaunIO ry shares its office with Rauman Liiketalousopiskelijain Kilta ry. The office code of conduct is defined in the agreement between the two associations. Due to the shared office arrangement, the activities of RaunIO ry contact persons in the office are limited.<\/p>\n<p>9 \u00a7 A contact person may resign from their position by notifying the association\u2019s board or chairperson in writing.<\/p>\n<p>10 \u00a7 The board may dismiss a contact person if their actions may cause, or have caused, harm to Rauman Insin\u00f6\u00f6riopiskelijat RaunIO ry or its members.<\/p>\n<p>11 \u00a7 All members of the Rauman Insin\u00f6\u00f6riopiskelijat RaunIO ry board are obligated to monitor the activities of contact persons and to report to the chairpersons when necessary.<\/p>\n<p>(Updated 29 January 2024)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anyone studying engineering in Rauma can join Rauman Insin\u00f6\u00f6riopiskelijat RaunIO ry.
